The Acting Central Regional Communication Director of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Eric Aidoo has called the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to respect medical doctors in the country.

According to him, the government of the day do not trust medical doctors trained in Ghana so “President Akufo-Addo and his Vice president should come out and apologize to Ghanaians for taking tax payers money to seek medical treatment abroad”.

He was speaking in an interview with Prime News Ghana in the President temporary ban on government appointees on traveling on aboard, Mr. Aidoo said “the President should rather inform his ministers and appointees to seek medical care in Ghana not aboard".

President Akufo-Addo on Sunday, June 24, 2018, placed a ban on government appointees traveling aboard, except the Foreign Affairs Minister, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey.

Mr. Aidoo said “banning them from traveling cannot solve our problems; rather, reduce your ministers to save our economic crisis”.
