Special voting: Over 127,000 to cast ballot today

The 2016 Elections kick off today with the special voting set to take off today, December 1, in the 275 constituencies across the country.

In all, 127,394 special voters, are expected to cast their ballots at the designated polling centres.

This list includes security personnel, temporal and permanent staff of the Electoral Commission (EC) and the media. 

Assuring the EC's preparedness for the special voting exercise, Director of Electoral Services at the EC, Samuel Tettey, noted that, all materials for the exercise have already been dispatched.

At a press conference on Wednesday, Mr Tettey disclosed materials and centers for this special voting session, have been distinctly marked from the materials; and polling stations for the general elections on December 7, to ensure transparency in the process.
