The MP for Tema East constituency Titus Glover has rewarded six elders of the NPP in Tema for their important contribution to the development of the party in Tema.

According to the Tema East Lawmaker, awardees dedicated their time and resources to build the Danquah, Dombo Busia tradition even at the jeopardy of their lives in Tema.

Titus Glover also added that the recognition of the hard work of the six elders will inspire the youth in the NPP to also sacrifice for the party.

The awardees included Mr. Samuel Evans Ashong Narh; former Member of Parliament for Tema East and former Mayor of Tema, Mr. Theophilus Adjetey Larbie, Mr. Baffour Anim Addo; former Constituency Chairman, Madam Gladys Naa Ashorkor L. Duadan; former Constituency Women Organizer, Lawyer Abraham Osei Aidoo; former Tema West MP and former Majority Leaders and Mr. Ishmael Ashittey; Greater Accra Regional Minister and a former MP for Tema East.

They received plaque each and full piece of cloth.

In addition, Madam Gladys Naa Ashorkor L. Duadan received a cash of GHS5, 000 while Theophilus Adjetey Larbie, who is said to the driver of the first Member of Parliament for Tema Dr Brew Kondua received GHS 2,000.

Titus Glover, however, commended Madam Gladys Naa Ashorkor L. Duadan for being the pillar behind the survival of the party in Tema.

” This Women has fought for the party in Tema ….She went into prison at the time she was nursing her baby and her only offence was that she was supporting Danquah Dombo Busia tradition. Madam Gladys really served the party well from Progress Party up to the time we form NPP and so I decided to honour her while she is alive,” he said.
