Private Legal Practitioner, John Ndebugri says the Electoral Commission headed by Mrs. Charlotte Osei has, for the first time, applied the law by disqualifying some charlatan politicians.

Speaking on Accra-based radio station, Citi FM, he said “all these years some charlatans have gotten onto the ballot papers by breaking the rules and cutting corners just for egoistic reasons,” he stated.

He applauded the EC and Mrs. Osei for the effort and encouraged her to look more closely into all aspects of the electoral process to ensure sanity in the country’s elections.

The Lawyer argued that, some of the parties committed criminal offenses and must be arrested contrary to popular views that, they must be informed to correct their mistakes.

“It is an offence to sign for one person and sign for another in the same elections. It is a criminal offense,” he stated.

He asked the affected parties to head to court if they believe they have a case.
