Disqualified Presidential candidate and the National Executive Committee of the United Front Party [UFP] has today declared their support for the incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) according to a statement signed by the leader and founder of the United Front Party [UFP] Dr. Nana Agyenim Boateng.

The presidential candidate of the United Front Party [UFP] Dr. Nana Agyenim Boateng was disqualified from contesting the 2016 December general election by the Electoral Commission (EC) due to a number of anomalies spotted on his nomination forms.

In a statement, the Electoral Commission (EC) stated, “The Commission is unable to accept Dr. Boateng’s nomination because the numbers of his subscribers do not meet the minimum required under Regulation 7(2) (b) of CI 94” .

The United Front Party [UFP] in a statement said, after a careful perusal of the incumbent National Democratic Congress and the leading opposition New Patriotic Party’s style of governing the NDC appears to stand tall hence their decision to associate with the National Democratic Congress.

“Upon carefully studying the two main parties, we are convinced with the manifesto and the leadership style of the NDC. We believe in peace and unity which the NDC stands tall. We the NEC and the party faithful with a unanimous decision wishes to associate ourselves with NDC and President JD Mahama in 2016”.
