A video in which Mathew Opoku-Prempeh, Education minister and Manhyia South MP, could be heard calling Alhassan Suhyini, the MP for Tamale North, mad is trending on social media.

In the video, Opoku-Prempeh, aka Napo, could be heard telling Suhuyini that: "You are mad. You.. you are mad!"

It is not clear what triggered the confrontation between the two men, but Suhuyini could also be seen in the video gesticulating angrily.

The incident occurred last week when the floor of parliament was opened for debate on the recommendation of the Joe Ghartey-led committee into an allegation by Mahama Ayariga, Bawku Central MP, that Boakye Agyarko bribed members of the appointments committee of parliament with GHC3,000 to get them to approve him as Energy minister.

The committee found that the allegation was without merit and recommended that Ayariga offers an apology to the house.

The ruling is said to have angered Suhuyini, prompting him to react angrily on the floor of parliament, prompting some members of the minority to urge him to calm down.

Suhuyini and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the MP for North Tongu, were the only two MPs who publicly backed Ayariga's claim.

The Communications minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, could also be seen in the video firing some harsh words at Suhuyini.
