Executive Director of the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), Ms Jean Mensa has stated that New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo's turn their evening encounter with presidential candidates has not been cancelled.
Nana Addo was originally supposed to take his turn on July 5 but was postponed to August 9 and later re-postponed indefinitely.Â
A letter, purportedly from the IEA, cancelling the event surfaced this morning citing the unavailability of the NPP flagbearer.
But speaking on Ultimate FM, Ms Mensa denied ever issuing such a release and insisted that it could have been the work of some faceless individuals to dent the credibility of the organisation.
She, therefore, appealed to the public to disregard the contents of the said release stressing that it was not authored by the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA).
