The former Municipal Chief Executive for Ejisu/Juaben in Ashanti, has warned incumbent National Organizer of the NDC, Kofi Adams, not to contest any position in the party’s upcoming congress.

Afrifa Yamoah Ponko says under no circumstance should Kofi Adams be elected again, because the rank and file of the NDC are disappointed by his recalcitrant behaviour after the 2016 general elections.

Adams, has sued Network Broadcasting Limited, operators of pro-NDC FM stations, Radio Gold and Montie FM, plus four members of the party for what he claims are defamatory comments against him over the party’s 2016 electoral defeat.

The four are Kodzo Keglo Hamenya, Okaikoi North Constituency Secretary of the NDC; Emmanuel Ashaley Tetteh, Communications Officer, Klottey Korle Constituency of the NDC; Stephen Afutu Neequaye, Communications Officer, Okaikoi Central Constituency of the NDC and James Deku, alias Agbee of West Legon.

Speaking on Asempah FM’s “Eko si sen” programme, Yamoah Ponko campaigned that “Kofi Adams should be the one everybody in the NDC must reject in the upcoming NDC elections… has sued some NDC party members in court and even one of the plaintiffs by name James Deku, alias Agbee of West Legon was his campaign manager during the last congress”.

Meanwhile former High Commissioner to UK, Victor Smith has urged NDC party faithfuls to vote out all executives of the party to make way for new ones in their upcoming congress.
According to Victor Smith, there is the need for fresh and dedicated people to handle the affairs of the party.
