Ghana's Black Stars claimed third-place at the 2025 Unity Cup after a thumping over Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday.

Goals from either side of the half ensured Otto Addo's charges emerged 4-0 victors at the GTech Stadium.

The Black Stars, who missed out on the final game after losing 2-1 to arch rivals Nigeria in the semi-final, punished the Caribbean nation early in the game.

Captain Jordan Ayew made a solo run around Trinidad’s third half after receiving a ball from Abu Francis before smashing home the opener with a powerful left-footed strike in the 5 minutes.

Christopher Baah Bonsu could have extended the lead in the 11th minute but Trinidad and Tobago goalkeeper parried his strike for a corner kick.

Ghana scored from the resulting kick as Jordan Ayew’s corner was headed home by Nations FC defender, Razak Simpson -his first for the national team.

Mohammed Fuseini also netted his debut goal with a fine finish in the 42nd minute to put the Black Stars in the driving seat.

Lawrence Agyekum then unleashed a tidy finish inside the box close to the hour mark for Ghana's fourth.

Ghana will now shift focus to the September World Cup qualifiers as the Black Stars take on Chad and Mali for a slot at next year's Mundial.
