The Afriyie Fitness Club’s “Rep Your Church Peace Walk 2016†is scheduled for Friday, December 2 at Tema Complex School with churches across the country expected to participate.
The walk would take place around the principal streets of Tema to drum home the need for peace before, during the general elections.
According to Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Afriyie Fitness Center (AFC), Mr. Bernard Amankwah, over 50 churches are expected at the event.
“It is important to organize our religious bodies and the youth to preach for peace during the general elections,†he stated.
He added that, it also provides the opportunity to everyone to exercise while engaging in the noble course of preaching peace in Ghana.
Mr. Amankwah urged all churches to register for the event and called on corporate entities to come on board to support the initiative.
“It promises to be all fun and excitement as churches would also use the platform to interact with each other. I also thank sponsors currently on board for their support,†he stated.
The event he said, would begin at 5am.
