Confederation of African Football, CAF has opened a fresh bidding process for countries interested in hosting the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
The confederation recently stripped of Cameroon hosting rights due to the country’s slow pace in building facilities to host, security among others.
Requirements
CAF has confirmed that they have sent requests for Applications to host the AFCON 2019 have now been sent to all CAF Member Associations.
The associations interested are required to submit their bid books to CAF by midnight Friday 14th December.

Process
After receiving the applications, CAF will, from December 15th, make a short list announcement, request further information from bidders and make possible on-site visits to complete the evaluation of applications.
Once the evaluation is done, the CAF Executive Committee will decide the new host of AFCON 2019 which will take place in summer 2019.
