With three more days for AFCON 2023 to kick off, Ghana's Black Stars have touched base in Abidjan in a colorful traditional fashion.

In a series of blissful shots on social media, the team was spotted in Ghanaian kente, amidst buoyant smiles and heightened euphoria.

The team left Kumasi this morning wearing stylish kaftan outfits as they jetted off to the  Côte d’Ivoire for the tournament.

Chris Hughton's boys wrapped up their pre-tournament camping in Kumasi with a goalless draw against Namibia Monday night.

Ghana are drawn in Group B alongside Cape Verde, Egypt, and Mozambique. The Black Stars will face Cape Verde in their opener on Sunday, January 14.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has tasked Black Stars players to bring home the AFCON 2023 trophy.

President Akufo-Addo said this during a farewell dinner held in Kumasi on Tuesday.

Speaking at the dinner, President Akufo-Addo extended the best of wishes to the Black Stars as they embarked on another AFCON journey.

He noted how the AFCON trophy had eluded Ghana for more than four decades but believed the current squad could go to the tournament and deliver the needed results.

President Akufo-Addo urged the players to go to the tournament with a can-do spirit, saying that it is possible to accomplish the long-awaited dream of bringing home the trophy.
