Jordan Ayew is optimistic the Black Stars will achieve a positive outcome in their upcoming clash against Egypt.

Ghana is set to face the 7-time champions in the ongoing AFCON 2023 at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan on Thursday, January 18 at 8 pm.

The Black Stars who began their Group B campaign on an unconvincing note as they succumbed to a 2-1 defeat against Verde will need a positive result to chance their chance of progressing in the tournament.

Speaking ahead of the game, the Black Stas winger Jordan Ayew said his teammates are ready for the Egypt test.

“Tomorrow is going to be a tough game and the boys are ready. We put ourselves in a difficult position and will fight to put in a better performance. I am sure tomorrow we will all have something to smile about after the game.”

Meanwhile, West Ham United midfielder Mohammed Kudus has rejoined Ghana's full training sessions ahead of their crucial encounter.

This raises hopes for his potential inclusion in the must-win game.

Kudus hasn't featured in a competitive match since West Ham's 2-0 win over Arsenal on December 28th. While his participation in both a warm-down session on Monday and a more intense one on Tuesday is encouraging, questions linger about his match fitness and potential injury risk.

Currently, Ghana sits at the bottom of Group B, while Egypt drew 2-2 against Mozambique in the other group game.
