Asante Kotoko are set to appoint Yussif Abubakar as the new head coach of the club following Paa Kwesi Fabin's resignation.

Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin resigned from his position as the head coach of Kotoko on Thursday 13, September 2018.

Since his resignation, the Porcupine Warriors are monitoring coaches available for the job.

Former AshantiGold head coach C.K Akonnor is believed to be the front-runner for the job but according to reports, Yussif Abubakar will land the job.

Yussif is expected to meet the board of the club in the coming days for discussions.

The gaffer was fired by Aduana Stars with the club occupying the 14th place with just 14 points, with three outstanding games before the league went to a halt.
