Barcelona will on Monday, December, 13 discover their fate when the round of 16 draw of the Europa League takes place.

The draw will be held at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland at 12:00 GMT.

Following Thursday’s Europa League games, Barça now know that they could meet any one of six possible opponents in the knockout round playoffs, in which the eight runners-up from the group stage will play the eight teams that finished third in the Champions League.

Rangers FC (Scotland), Napoli (Italy), Olympiacos (Greece), Lazio (Italy), Braga (Portugal) and Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia) are the possible sides that the Catalans could face.

Because they play in the same league, Barça will be separated from Real Sociedad and Real Betis, although they too finished second in their Europa League groups.

Barcelona will host the first leg which will be played on February 17 at Camp Nou and the return a week later, on February 24 at their opponents’ ground.

Barcelona dropped to the Europa League after they signed off on their worst Champions League campaign in two decades on Wednesday, as another comprehensive defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich sealed elimination at the group stage.

The Catalans went into their final game battling Benfica for the second qualifying spot in Group E and knowing they might well need to chase a result in the Allianz Arena.

But Bayern barely broke sweat in taking apart Xavi's men, while the Portuguese side took the necessary three points to send them to the last 16 as runners-up behind Bayern.
