With Ghana’s Under 17 male team, the Black Starlets set to feature in the continent’s tourney, the side’s Assistant Coach acknowledged the young lads need exposure to avoid being awed when the competition takes off.

The Starlets made a comeback to the Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations after beating Burkina Faso and Cote d'Ivoire.

But Assistant Coach, Nuru Mohammed remarked “we will go into camping and get friendly matches. We need to play close countries like Niger, Mali and co. if we can’t get outside exposure.”

Ghana is drawn in Group A together with Cameroon, Madagascar and Guinea. Two time champion Ghana has not lifted the cup since winning it in 1995 and 1999 and will fancy their chances of emerging as Kings at the tournament.

Group B hosts current champions Mali, Congo, Angola and Niger battling it out for qualification to the semi-finals of the tournament.

First and second teams of each group qualifies straight to the World Cup.
