The Black Stars are expected to begin training today September 4, 2018, in Ethiopia ahead of their 2019 AFCON qualifier against Kenya.

The Black Stars will play Kenya on September 8, 2018, in Nairobi but are currently camping in Ethiopia.

Reports indicate that 16 of the 20 players invited by coach Kwesi Appiah have arrived in Ethiopia.

John Boye and Kasim Nuhu Adams have been ruled out of this clash due to injuries they picked up on club duty. Rashid Sumaila of Red Star Belgrade has earned a late call-up to the team after the injuries suffered by the two players.

Kwesi Appiah says the absence of these two players will not affect the team and they will strategise to get a win from this game.
