Arsenal midfielder has been left out of Black Stars coach Chris Hughton's 25-man squad for this month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Central African Republic in Kumasi.

The Black Stars will have to complete the job without Partey when they host Central Africa Republic in their final Group E game at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Thursday, September 7, 2023 and a friendly against Liberia in Accra five days later.

It is reported that the former Atletico Madrid midfielder has been left out of the squad due to injury.

"He sustained a groin injury during training on Thursday, August 31, 2023. He is currently unavailable as Club Doctors predict he's likely to be out for a couple of weeks," Black Stars team Doctor Prince Pambo said.

Ghana is aiming to make a record 24th Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cote D’Ivoire.
