Asante Kotoko head coach CK Akonnor has stated the priority of the Porcupine Warriors pertaining to their participation in the CAF Confederations Cup next year.
The Porcupine Warriors were given the green light to represent Ghana in the 2018-2019 Confederations Cup despite the domestic league being dormant.
With immense pressure mounting on the gaffer to do well, he explicitly stated that leading the Kumasi-based club to the group stage of the competition would be a good achievement.

"It's important to do well and get into the Money Zone of the CAF Confederation Cup. When we are able to get there, is a good achievement because it was not planned for." CK Akonnor told Nhyira FM in Kumasi.
CK Akonnor has brought in eleven (11) new players ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup competition.
