Ghana once again has had a bad start in the IAAF World Championship in London this year after three of the four athletes representing the Nation were booted out.

Triple jumper Nadia Eke failed to make it to the final of the women’s triple jump, falling short of her personal best of 13.93.

Emmanuel Dassor meanwhile was supposed to be in Heat 6 of the Men's 400m but failed to race. Reports indicate that he suffered a knee injury in training yesterday.

Alex Amankwah had an impressive start in the Men's 800m but failed to book a place in the Semi-Final as he finished 4th n a time of 1:47:56s.

The country would have to wait till Tuesday, when Janet Amponsah races in the women’s 200m heats. She will also be part of the women’s 4X100m relay team to race on next Saturday.
