Eight teams will compete in the Battle Ground Tournament scheduled to commence on Sunday February 18 at Tema’s Community 4 Court.

The competition is the latest warm up tournament ahead of the 2018 Tema Basketball League season due to start in late March.

Headlining the list of teams is reigning League champions Tema Community 4 who will be competing for the first time since clinching the title last year.

Beaten finalist Ashaiman Lions is listed among the teams competing for the next three weeks; Lions head to the competition with their tails up after winning the Pre season competition in December 2017.

Former league winners Nungua Coldstore have been included after skipping the previous warm up competition due to internal reasons.

Akatsi Rifles, Teshie Rangers, Tema Heat, Tema Community 2 and Ghana Police fill out the eight team roster for the competition.

All teams competing in the tournament have featured in at least one of the past two league campaigns and are likely to compete in the upcoming season.
