Ghanaian midfielder Elvis Opoku has been fined GHC 3000 by Aduana Stars for his 'damning' comment about the club.

Aduana Stars have fined the midfielder for slating the decisions of the club last week.

The punishment came following his 'damning' comments about the club especially for the club’s poor campaign in the CAF Confederations cup and the sacking of coach Yusif Abubakar.

Earlier this week, the Ogya boy rendered an apology to Dormaahene, the management team, his teammates and the fans at large.

“I am very sorry about my comments. I know it really didn’t go down well with the chief patron of the club, Nana Dormaahene, the management team and my teammates who were also disappointed in me and not forgetting the fans.

"I admit my flaws and I am therefore asking for forgiveness from everyone involved. I promise to give my best for this club from now on.” Elvis assured Aduana Stars.

“I know I have wronged the entire Aduana land, I am therefore using this medium to ask for forgiveness. I am still a son of the land. I apologize for my irresponsible statement.” He added.
