Host nation, France set a final with Portugal after they beat Germany 2-0 in the second Euro 2016 final on Thursday at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille.

The very entertaining match had Germany dominating possesion until 45th minute when France were awarded a penalty after Germany captain, Bastian Schweinsteiger, standing about an inch away, handled Patrice Evra's header from a corner.

Atlético forward, Antoine Griezmann converted the penalty by sending Manuel Neuer the wrong way and sidefooting into the Germany keeper’s right hand corner as cool as you like.

Germany came back from the break poised for an equaliser but France withstood the pressure until the 72nd minute when Griezmann doubled the lead.

Paul Pogba after making light work of Kimmich on the left side of Germany's penalty area sent in a cross which goalkeeper Neuer could only palm away nervously and Griezmann pounced on the lose ball to prod it home from 12 yards.

Try as Germany did, they could not break France's defence and Les Bleus secured a place in Sunday's final in Paris.
