Ghana Premier League champions, Hearts of Oak SC have announced the signing of Great Olympics captain Gladson Awako.
Awako has signed a two-year contract with the Phobian club.

Gladson Awako captained Olympics to a sixth-place finish in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.

The former TP Mazembe midfielder scored 10 goals in 43 games for Olympics and made 12 assists, winning 6 man-of-the-match awards and 2 player of the month accolades in the just ended 2020/21 Ghana Premier League campaign
His impressive season earned him a call up to the Black Stars for the final round of qualifiers against Sao Tome and South Africa for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [Afcon].
Awako has played for Berekum Chelsea, TP Mazembe, Phonex Rising among other clubs.
Awako has been registered in Hearts of Oak's 36-man squad for 2021/22 CAF Champions League season.
