The Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) has lifted the indefinite suspension placed on Martha Bissah for misconduct six years ago.
This comes after the track and field athlete rendered an unqualified apology to the body earlier this month.
The GAA sat on the matter last week Friday and after the meeting, they arrived at the decision to accept Martha Bissah's apology and lift the suspension placed on her six years ago.
Martha Bissah has been on an indefinite suspension from the GAA since 2015 following an accusation she made about the association’s leadership.

The young athlete who caught the world’s attention during the 2014 Olympic games youth was required to retract and apologize for the accusations which the association described as false and unfounded.
She alleged that the GAA had extorted her while working on a scholarship to the United State following her gold medal triumph at the 2014 Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China.
Bissah's apology letter to the GAA read:
“I wish to humbly express my sincerest apology and utmost regret for my behavior towards the Ghana Athletics Association in general and Professor Francis Dodoo in Particular sometime in 2015.
“I am really sorry for my unprofessional and immature behavior as well as my subsequent defamatory comments.
“I know my actions have damaged our working relationship and hope this broken relationship will be restored to enable us work together again.
“I assure you that I will not act in that manner again.
“Please accept my apologies.”
