Ghana Football Association Presidential candidate George Afriyie has been endorsed by Asante Kotoko to become the new leader of Ghana football.

The GFA top seat has been vacant since Kwesi Nyantakyi was banned from all football-related activities and on October 25, delegates of GFA will be going to the polls to elect a new leader to steer the affairs of the association for the next four years.

“We (Kotoko) are backing George Afriyie to become the president of the Ghana Football Association,” Amoako told the Press after Afriyie’s manifesto launch in Sunyani.

“He is one of the best we have in Ghana now and we are given him all the support to lead our football and bring it to the highest level.”

George Afriyie last Saturday, launched his 2019 campaign and 'The Restoration' manifesto with a highlight of activities he intends to role out for Ghana football.

According to the bankroller of division one side Okyeman Planners the launching of the manifesto in Sunyani the capital of Brong Ahafo Region was strategic because it is the biggest constituency in Ghana football
