Motsepe's comments add to that of Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac who said the future of Ghana football is bright considering the talents in the system.

"It is not easy to compare but definitely the last generation was very strong and successful and in this generation I can see a lot of talents, many beautiful talents for the future so Ghanaians shouldn’t worry about the future of Ghana football, he told GFA media.

It is important to develop them well and as I said, this is just the beginning and it takes time to set up everything and to correct something and to make Ghana okay competitive football at the highest level.

This is something that is my job and luckily in this last camp, the atmosphere was amazing among everybody and as I said earlier, I am really grateful for the opportunity work in this condition.

The Serbian has been tasked to qualify Ghana for the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Ghana’s best performance at the FIFA World Cup was a quarter-final place achieved in South Africa in 2010.

Before that, the country reached the round of 16 on their debut in 2006 and were eliminated in the group stages at the 2014 edition.
