The Black Stars were today held to 1-1 draw by Rwanda  in the last round of 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers at a virtually empty Accra Sports Stadium.

Having already qualified as winners of Group H, the Black Stars, who fielded a relatively weak squad captained by Emmanuel Agyemang Badu named as captain,  dominated the game early in the first half and squandered some chances.

They, however, took the lead through Red Bull Salzburg loanee to FC Liefering, Samuel Tetteh,  who controlled a pass in the box and found the corner of the net with a well-struck shot.

The Rwandans grew into the game and found an equaliser as Muhadjiri Hakizimana bent in a free-kick past Ghana keeper Razak Brimah.

There had been a lot of controversy surrounding Ghana's preparations for the and it may have contributed to the very low attendance to the match.
