The Ghana Football Association (GFA) have denied media reports that the national team were denied access to the Tang Palace Hotel in Accra ahead of facing Kenya in a 2019 AFCON qualifier.

Ghanaian media reported on Monday that several Black Stars players were stranded outside the Tang.

“The attention of the GFA’s Normalization Committee (N.C) has been drawn to media reports suggesting players and the technical team of the Black Stars have been denied access to camping base, Tang Palace,” said the statement.

“The reports are false. An initial miscommunication by a security personnel at the facility was immediately corrected.” Read full statement on www.ghanafa.org.

Kwesi Appiah’s men take on Kenya at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium this Saturday. The match will serve as preparations for June’s AFCON finals as both Ghana & Harambee Stars have already sealed qualification.
