Ghanaian striker Boakye-Yiadom wins Serbian Liga best player award

Ghana and Jiangsu Suning striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom has won Serbia's topmost players' award, the "Novosti" as the best player in the Serbian Super Liga for 2017.

He was voted for the award by the captains of the 16 clubs in the top-flight.

Boakye-Yiadom was also voted Red Star Belgrade's player of the year 2017 and set a record as the club's most prolific foreign-born player of all-time.

He scored 39 goals in 44 appearances for Red Star and some of them took the club from the first qualifying round to the Round of 32 in the Europa League.

He completed a 5.5 million Euro move to Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning on Thursday.
