The senior national cycling team, the Golden Pedals have left for Ethiopia to participate in the Tour Meles Zenawi which commences from the August 28 to September 3, 2017.
The completion is expected to feature over 12 countries in Africa.The event forms part of preparations for the National Cycling team ahead of the commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast in Australia next year.

Team comprise of Abdul Razak Abdul Mumin of Vital cycling club in Kumasi, Abdul Rahman of Gutten, Abdul Razak Umar of Die Hard, Anthony Boakye of River Park Brong Ahafo, Frank Akuffo of Velo stars and Clement Kusi of River Park Brong  Ahafo.

It would be recalled,the same team made Ghana proud by winning the first ever Yellow Jersey for the country in the Ivory Coast a couple of weeks ago.

Ghana is expected to rub shoulders with crack cycling countries like Namibia, DR Congo, South Africa, Eritrea, Cameroon,Ethiopia, amongst others.

The team is led by Secretary General of the federation Dennis Kweku Moore, Coach Daniel Amoo and National mechanic Rudolf Mensah.
