The 2017/2018 Ghana Premier League launch was called off after the FA were served with an injunction by Accra Great Olympics.

The launch was set to come off on Monday but for the court injunction, it was called off.

The Premier League Board communication director Tamimu Isaah confirmed this to the press at the Ghana Football Association Secretariat.

"The Ghana Football Association have recieved an injunction notice by a memeber of its association that is Great Olympics"

"For that matter the Premier League board have decided to call off the launch of the GPL as a sign of respect to the court, "he added.

The League was scheduled to kick off this weekend but with the new turn of event, it is now unknown when the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League will start.
