The Guatemalan Football Association  is expected to hand footballer, Daniel Pedrosa lengthy ban after he beat up the referee in during a Division 3 match between Deportivo Chicacao and Obereños on Sunday.
Pedrosa mistakenly bumped into the referee near the halfway line while playing and the referee, far from pleased, immediately dished out a red card to the midfielder.
The incensed player also immediately headbutted and punched the referee with his fists before he was restrained by his fellow team mates.Below are photos of the incident:
