Hasaacas Ladies reach CAF Women’s Champions League final

Ghana's Hasaacas Ladies are into the grand finale of the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Veronica Appiah and Doris Boaduwaa scored at either side of the half to ensure Hasaacas Ladies beat Burkinabé side USFA 2-0 in the semi-final clash at Stade Champroux in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

The ‘Dooo’ had a positive start, dominating the early minutes with Perpetual Agyekum firing one from long range but missed the post by inches.

Midway through the game, Evelyn Boadu nearly gave Hasmal the lead from a freekick but her effort struck the crossbar.

A few minutes later Agyekum also struck the post from close range.

The ball finally went in after Veronica Appiah connected a corner with a powerful header in the 44th minute.

Doris Boaduwaa doubled the lead for Hasaacas with what was scored her second goal of the tournament.

Hasaacas will face the winner of the semi-final 2 tie between Rivers Angels FC and Amis du Monde.

The winner of the WAFU Zone B qualifiers for the group stage of the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
