Hearts of Oak made it two wins from two games as they came from behind to beat Nsoatreman FC 2-1 at the Nana Koramansah Park on Sunday.

The Phobians who beat Real Tamale United 3-0 last weekend to get the second round off to a good start, won yet again on sunday.

Salifu Ibrahim's 47th minute deflected goal canceled out Walid Fuseini' 23rd minute opener as Hearts of Oak pulled parity two minutes into the second half.

Cisse Kasim scored in the 55th minute to give the Phobians a 2-1 advantage.

Nsoatreman FC tweaked things in the process in search of the equaliser but Hearts of Oak were equal to task as they held on to win on the road.

The win marks Hearts of Oak's second consecutive victory under new coach Aboubakar Ouattara to move up to seventh place in the standings.

In Berekum, Mezack Afriyie scored a second half hat-trick to beat Karela United 3-0 at the Golden City Park.

The Blues who were held goalless in the first half, improved their second half performance to win at home.

Mezack opened the scoring in the 48th minute before adding to the tally inside the 67th and 90+9 to round things up for the Berekum lads.

Elsewhere in Sogakope Legon Cities were held goalless by Accra Lions in the Accra City derby.

Meanwhile the game between leaders FC Samartex and Nations FC was rained off and will be played on Monday, March 4,2024.
