Hearts of Oak has announced the formation of a recruitment committee to lead a major squad overhaul ahead of the 2025/26 football season.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, June 17, the club revealed that the committee will comprise representatives from the board, management, and technical team.
According to the club, the committee has already begun a thorough evaluation process aimed at assessing the performance of current players and identifying potential new signings, based on input from the technical team.
“The recruitment strategy is being guided by data-driven analysis, with a focus on strengthening key positions in the team,” the statement said.
“At the same time, we’re expanding the roles of existing players to align with the club’s long-term goals. Players who fall short of expectations will be released.”
Although the club outlined the committee’s purpose and approach, it did not disclose the names of its members.
Hearts of Oak, who finished fourth in the just-ended league campaign, are scheduled to face arch-rivals Asante Kotoko on July 6, 2025, in the President’s Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium as part of their pre-season preparations.
