Hearts of Oak to play Tema Youth in friendly

Hearts of Oak have secured a friendly match with Division One League side Tema Youth as part of preparations for their CAF Champions League campaign.

The Ghana Premier League champions will play the lower-tier side on Friday, September 3.

The match is scheduled to kickoff at 9:00 am at Legon Ajax Park.

Samuel Boadu will use the friendlies to assess the readiness of his players ahead of the CAF Champions League.

Hearts of Oak have been drawn against Guinean outfit CI Kamsar in the preliminary round which gets underway in two weeks.

Hearts of Oak will travel to Conakry to take on the Crocodiles on September 12, before they journey back to Accra for the return encounter.

The Phobians on Wednesday defeated Division Two side Adabraka Elders FC 3-0 in their first pre-season friendly at the Legon Ajax Park.

Meanwhile, Sory Ibrahima Keita from Mali will be the centre Referee when Club Industriel De Kamsar from Guinea hosts Ghana’s Accra Hearts of Oak in the CAF Champions League.

He will be assisted by mates, Drissa Kamory Niare (Assistant Referee I), Amadou Belly Guisse Amadou (Assistant II) and Harouna Coulibaly (Fourth Official). Omer Kouamé Dehoule Côte D’Ivoire is the Match Commissioner.

Senegalese official Fadouma Dia DIA will serve as the Referee Assessor while Mohamed Tafsir Soumah from Guinea acts as COVID-19 Officer.

The match is scheduled for the Nongo-General Lansana Conte stadium on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 4pm local time.
