Hearts of Oak are yet to meet fellow Ghana Premier League side Great Olympics' valuation for midfielder Gladson Awako.
The Phobians are keen to sign Awako this season and have officially written to his mother club to make their interest known.
The former TP Mazembe midfielder has emerged as a transfer target for Hearts of Oak after bagging 6 man-of-the-match accolades, scored six goals and provided seven assists for Olympics in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League campaign and discussions are said to have been held over taking 30-year-old to the Rainbow club.

While Hearts of Oak are keen on signing Awako, Olympics are said to want a transfer fee of GHC200,000 to sanction a move for the midfielder during the ongoing transfer window.
With the 'Wonder Club' holding out for a sum of GHC200,000, the Phobians are yet to meet Olympics' asking price for the player.
The former Ghana U-20 world cup winner’s contract with Great Olympics is set to end in October, and coach Accra Hearts of Oak is hoping to sign him for their African campaign next season.

Awako in a recent interview expressed his readiness to join Hearts of Oak.
“I am ever ready to join Hearts of Oak. I am a footballer and that is my workâ€, Awako told Atinka FM.
“If I feel moving to Hearts of Oak will help my career why not.
“Even Harry Kane is moving from Tottenham Hotspurs just to get the chance to play in the Champions League.â€
Meanwhile, Great Olympics Board Member, Kudjoe Finaoo has said Hearts of Oak must be ready to pay Ghc200,000 in order to sign Gladson Awako.
According to Mr. Fianoo, Awako is an asset and the Phobians must be ready to meet their demand.
“We are willing to allow Gladson Awako to join Hearts of Oak if only they meet our demand of ¢200K,†the Ghalca chief said to Kumasi-based Silver FM.
Hearts of Oak will be making a return to competing on the continental front by competing in the CAF Champions League after winning the Ghana Premier League for the first time in 12 years.
Hearts of Oak will get to know their opponent in the 2021/22 CAF Champions League on Friday, August 13.
