Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Malik Akowuah has quashed claims that he smokes shisha after being pictured holding a shisha pipe.
A picture of him holding a shisha pipe has been circulating on social media for the past few days.
The former Medeama midfielder says he suspects his detractors were behind the circulating of the picture.Â
"I don't know how it got out but I went for a friend's party and and I decided to hold it to see how it works and someone took a picture to circulate," He told GNA.
"I don't know who sent the picture but three hours after I left the party, I heard that my picture was out claiming I smoke shisha. I don't even like smoke".He added.
Akowuah played in the MTN FA Cup final defeat to Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
