Asante Kotoko have confirmed the departure of 14 first-team players as part of a restructuring exercise ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
The club said the decisions followed an assessment of players who completed the 2025/26 campaign under its new technical direction led by Director of Football Stanley Menzo.
Six players left the club after their contracts expired. They are goalkeeper Mohammed Camara, centre-backs Samba O’Neil and Henry Ansu, midfielder Baba Yahaya, and forwards Peter Amidu Acquah and Albert Amoah.
The remaining eight players became free agents after reaching mutual agreements with the club to terminate their contracts.
They are goalkeeper Benjamin Twum, centre-back Zackaria Fuseini, left-back Francis Acquah, midfielder Prince Badu, and forwards Isaac Mintah, Kwame Opoku, Johnson Owusu and Elvis Kyei Baffour.
Kotoko said the decisions were reached amicably as part of the club’s ongoing restructuring ahead of the new season.
The club thanked all 14 players for their contributions during their time at the club and wished them success in their future endeavours.
