Asante Kotoko beat WAFA by a lone goal courtesy Naby Keita’s first-half strike in a friendly match.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko recorded a 1-0 victory over West African Football Academy SC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, 18 November 2018.

A lone strike from Guinean striker Naby Keita on the 27th minute ensured a 1-0 first half victory for Coach C.K Akonnor's side.

Defender Agyemang-Badu blocked strikes from Chieck Umar and Augustine Boakye to prevent goalkeeper Felix Annan from conceding before the break.

Back from the break, WAFA coach Patrick Ligwig introduced Koudoo Timothee, Michael Danso, Jamal Huruna and Karim Samed to intensify their upfront.

The Sogakope-based club frustrated the midfielders of the home side with brilliant passes and descent crosses in the mid of the second department.

A spot-kick awarded to Kotoko on the hour-mark was wasted by skipper Amos Frimpong.

He failed to doubled the lead for the Porcupine Warriors after goalkeeper Sabi Acquah neatly fisted out Frimpong's ball from the spot.
The two teams could be found guilty for not scoring in the second half as their numerous set-pieces awarded to them by the referee were squandered.
