Asante Kotoko left-back Daniel Darkwah affirmed that he is hoping for regular game time after the impressive display he put on against Nkana FC in the Caf Confederation Cup on Sunday, March 3.

Darkwah had been battling injury woes before making his debut for the Porcupine Warriors in the Confederations Cup against the Zambian side at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and recorded a 3 -0 win.

Darkwah replaced club captain Amos Frimpong who was out of the big game due to accumulated cards.

Speaking to the Kickgh.com; the promising defender says he anticipates for a regular start for Kotoko but believes everything is in the hands of coach C.K. Akonnor to decide.

“Well, I will thank God for everything that happened last Sunday. I am praying that my performance secures me a regular start in our next matches."

“Nonetheless, the decision is with the coach and he will decide who plays at a particular time,” he added.

The Porcupine Warriors will host Sudanese heavyweights Al Hilal in the match-day five in Confederation Cup at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, March 10.
