Kumasi Asante Kotoko are out of the CAF Confederations Cup after losing 6-7 on penalties in Congo against CARA.

Kotoko who went into the game with a 1-0 lead fell behind in the 38th minute when the ball deflected off a Kotoko defender and crawled into the net.

That made it 1-1 on aggregate and the Porcupines were resolute until the final whistle.

The game had to be decided on penalties and Kotoko failed to convert 4 of the 10 spot kicks that they took.

Obed Owusu, Amos Frimpong, Jackson Owusu and Kwame Boahen all missed their kicks with CARA missing 3 of theirs too.
