Arsenal's new signing Alexandre Lacazette has scored his first goal for the Gunners as they beat Sydney FC 2-0 in a preseason friendly in Australia.

The 52 million pound striker came on in the 2nd half of the game and scored just after 15 minutes.

A neat move down the right hand side saw Alex Iwobi pick out Lacazette in the penalty area.Running onto the ball, Arsenal's summer signing hit it first time past a hopeless Sydney goalkeeper.

The 26-year-old, who scored 37 goals in 45 games for Lyon last season, ended years of speculation by signing with the north Londoners earlier this month.

Arsenal won the friendly 2-0 after Per Mertesacker put the Gunners ahead early on. Danny Welbeck missed a second half penalty.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will be hoping that the striker repays his faith by being prolific in the upcoming EPL season.
