Assistant Coach of the senior national team, the Black Stars, Maxwell Konado has been appointed as caretaker coach of the team till a substantive head coach is appointed.
This was disclosed during the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association(GFA) emergency meeting held on Tuesday.
The meeting was aimed at discussing the management of the Black Stars following the departure of coach Avram Grant as well as other matters affecting the game.
Konadu has been the assistant coach of the Black Stars since 2012 and expected to use his experience to lead the team till a new coach is appointed.
The GFA would in coming days seek to find a substantive coach for the team after the FA has been flooded with letters of coaches both local and foreign, interested in the job.
