Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku says Milovan Rajevac is the best man to manage the Senior National team, Black Stars.

He said this at the unveiling of the Serbian tactician who has been appointed on a 1-year deal, with an option of another year on a $30,000 monthly salary.

Rajevac takes over from CK Akonnor who was sacked on September 14.

He has been tasked to qualify Ghana for the World Cup 2022 and win next year's AFCON in Cameroon. He will receive $300,00 and another $300,000 should he achieve the double.

And Kurt Okraku believes that the targets are not above him.

"... we believe that with the right strategy, planning and personnel (technical and playing body) our Black Stars would be able to hit the targets and qualify us to the Mundial," the GFA boss said.

According to him, the 67-year-old is the best man to lead Ghana to the promise land as he has the right experience.

"When we knew Milovan Rajevac was available we were very sure that he is the right man for us and from the work of the subcommittee and council and our engagement with the Sports Ministry we are happy he is here with us.

He has all the experience and has seen it before and we believe with the right level of support, he together with the technical team will be able to deliver exactly what we want," he concluded.

Rajevac will be assisted by Maxwell Konadu and Dortmund assistant coach Otto Addo.

In his first stint, he led the team in 28 games, winning 12, losing 11 and drawing 5 during his two-year stint in Ghana.

His immediate task will be to defeat Zimbabwe in the double-header in the World Cup qualifiers and subsequently qualify the team to the World Cup in 2022.
