Coach Alex Kamara has hailed his Ashtown ladies foot soldiers for picking one point away to Wesley college park in Saturday’s opener against Fabulous ladies. The visitors pecked Fabulous ladies to a goalless draw in the first leg of the Normalization Special Competition which took place at Wesley College Park.

Fabulous ladies had the better of the chances, but could not break through Ashtown’s water tight defensive display to leave the tie wide open in the Ghana Football Normalization Special competition day one.

In his post match interview with Kick442, Coach Alex Kamara, expressed satisfaction with the outcome but admit that suspension of the league has had a tool on their game performance.

“I’m very happy to get a point at Wesley College Park. we couldn’t have enough time to train and we couldn’t organise ourselves well all because of the suspension of the league which affected our performance; Some of our players are student, so they are far from where we train that is why they are not coming to training, but I believe that we will organise ourselves well for the next match on Wednesday”.

To him, the Ghana Football Normalization committee special will help the Ashtown ladies sharpen up and start firing from all cylinders as the days go by. ” our next game will not be easy for us. The match on Wednesday is going to be tough for, but for the other two games we Ashton ladies know that we will beat our opponent by hook or crook” Kamara said.

For the next game to produce the promised three points, coach, Alex Kamara will have to improve on his side’s last quarter dominance against Fabulous ladies. The visitors parked the bus for 75minutes against fabulous ladies.

The home team’s first half scintillating display pushed the visitors on the back foot, but fabulous ladies poor decision making in the final third leaves coach, Sulemana Yusif with more work in a bid to kindle the firepower upfront.

“I want to thank the Ghana football Normalization Competition for bringing the Special competition. It was a balanced game altogether, we dominated in the first half and the second half my opponent Ashtown ladies also dominated the game”. Yusif hinted

Reacting to the ban slumped on Ghanaian football by world football governing body (FIFA), Coach, Sulemana Yusif agreed with his peer of Ashtown ladies that the ban has dealt a huge blow to his team ” this is why we weren’t performing well on the pitch “. Yusif lamented

Despite the downs, the fabulous ladies manager promised a more emblematic display to ground all three points in their next game.
