Ghana Premier League giants Hearts Of Oak have appointed ex-Black Stars striker, Kim Grant as their new head coach and director of football.

The unveiling ceremony took place at Sun City Hotel Apartment on the LA road in Accra.

Hearts of Oak have appointed Kim Grant to lead their technical department after the departure of coach Henry Lamptey Wellington in June 2018.

Grant takes over from stop-gap coach, Seth Hoffman who has been in charge of the Capital-based club first team for five months.

The club's official statement read "Accra Hearts of Oak is pleased to announce that Mr Kim Grant has agreed to join the club as director of football and the first team head coach."

"In this capacity, Grant will be in charge of all technical aspects of the club from the youth teams to the senior side. He will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer Mark Noonan"

The former striker earned 14 appearances and scored once for the senior national team, the Black Stars.

In April 2017, Grant was appointed as the head coach of Bangladeshi club, Saif Sports Club Limited, before returning home to take up a role as the technical director of Elmina Sharks in December that same year.
