Prosper Narteh Ogum was announced as the new head coach of Kotoko on Sunday following the exit of Mariano Barreto who lasted for six months in his one-and-half year contract.

The gaffer joined the Porcupine Warriors on a two-year deal from WAFA.

He is being assisted by David Ocloo and John Eduafo ahead of the 2021/22 Ghana football season.

According to Narteh, he wants to make Kotoko the nest club in the world.

“I am awfully grateful for this opportunity to serve such a great club Kumasi Asante Kotoko. Thanks to HRM Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Board, Management, and Supporters for reposing trust in me,” he wrote on his Twitter page.

“I will do my best to make Kotoko the best club in Ghana, Africa, and the world.”

He guided WAFA to a third-place finish in the just ended Ghana Premier League season accumulating 56 points in what appears the best season for the academy lads since they joined the premiership.

Prosper Narteh Ogum is a Sports Psychologist and Educationist. He has previously handled UCC Soccer Team, Elmina Sharks, Dwarfs and Karela United.

Dr. Ogum is currently the deputy manager for the Ghana Black Stars B.
