The Premier League has revealed a star-studded list of nominees for the prestigious Young Player of the Season award.

Leading the charge is Chelsea attacker Cole Palmer. He is a front-runner for the award after a phenomenal debut campaign for the Blues.

The 22-year-old has bagged 21 goals and nine assists in the league this season.

Palmer is only the second Chelsea player after Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink to be directly involved in 30+ goals in a debut Premier League season.

Manchester City star Phil Foden has added a layer of consistency to his game this season, and the Stockport-born gem has been shining for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Foden has bagged 16 goals and eight assists in 32 league appearances as City bid to become the first team to win four consecutive league titles.

Another protagonist in City’s bid for history is Erling Braut Haaland who has netted 25 goals this term, including four in his last game against Wolverhampton Wanderers to aid City’s title defence.

The Norwegian is on course to claim the top-scorer award for a second consecutive season. He also won last season’s Premier League Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season awards and will be looking to repeat the trick this term.

Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and William Saliba have played a massive role for the Gunners this season. The England international has notched 16 goals and nine assists this term, helping Arsenal to the top of the table.

Saliba has been a rock at the back, forming one of the meanest defences in Europe. The 22-year-old has helped Arsenal keep 14 league clean sheets this term, and they are on course to finish with the best defensive record.

Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo is a surprise inclusion. He broke out this term due to an injury crisis and has taken his chances with both hands.

Mainoo has helped Erik ten Hag’s side dominate midfield battles, earning himself a call-up to the England national team.

Tottenham Hotspur left-back Destiny Udogie is a marauding full-back who has given Spurs a different dimension in attack.

The Italian is a rapacious force down the left flank and has been rewarded for an excellent debut campaign with a nomination.

Rounding out the nominees is Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak. He has netted 19 goals this term and is averaging more goals per 90 minutes than any other player in the Premier League this season.
